About Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy
Pullela Gopichand Academy was founded in 2001 by All England Open Badminton Champion, Pullela Gopichand. The facility trains several badminton players such as Saina Nehwal P. V. Sindhu, Srikanth Kidambi, Parupalli Kashyap, H.S. Prannoy, Sai Praneeth, Sameer Verma and many others. The second such facility is opened as a part of 40 acres Shahid Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, Greater Noida in March 2017. It is India’s 3rd and North India’s 1st High Performance Center.
The aim of the Greater Noida academy is to identify, develop and nurture talent at the grass root level. The academy has highly reputed National and International coaches. The state-of-art facility comprises of 8 International Standard Badminton Courts, 2 Wooden courts and access to gym, swimming pool and other facilities. The admissions to regular batches of the academy are done strictly through trials.

The aim of the academy is to identify and nurture talent in this part of the country. The academy has appointed highly qualified Indian and international coaches and the trainees have access to facilities like the gym, swimming pool and athletics track in the sports complex.
